GHOST SHIPS

In each episode, pro salvage diver Tony Sampson (Curse of Oak Island, Cold Water Cowboys), Kayla, And John Wesley team up with local divers, treasure hunters, international experts, ROV investigators, archaeologists, oceanographers, psychics, UFOologists, robotics experts, adventure divers, whatever it takes to get to the bottom of local GHOST SHIP mysteries and the secrets of the sea.
The coast is covered with the secrets of the past and clues to the future waiting to be discovered. Shipwrecks, airplane wrecks, U-boats, lost lands, whale graveyards, UFO’s, extreme trash, and untold treasures.
Along these ragged shores we’re in a battle with a shifting ocean. It’s a race to record the secrets hidden in the ever-changing world where the sea endlessly battles the land. Nowhere else on earth is more physical energy produced every day than where the tides and waves meet the shore. Atomic bombs worth of energy changing the coast’s past, present and future. Rising seas, coastal erosion, storms, and the never-ending tides and waves revealing, concealing, creating and changing everything under their power.
WHAT’S NEW ABOUT THIS SHOW?
Ghost Ship stories are endless and new wrecks are being revealed by the sea with every season, storm, and change in the climate.
The basics are familiar. Each episode of this self-contained, docu-adventure series sets up an ocean mystery to be solved surrounded by unsettled spirts, unanswered questions, and all the secrets of the sea.
A team adventurers led by Tony Sampson (the star diver from CURSE OF OAK ISLAND) and John Wesley “jw” Chisholm (creator of THE SEAHUNTERS with Clive Cussler and hundreds of ocean adventure documentaries) are on the hunt for the SECRETS OF THE SEA along the most dangerous coastlines in the world. They're helped by researcher and pro stunt woman Kayla Flynn and a not always behind the scenes production crew of adventure film makers.
Every episode takes viewers to a mysterious haunted place rarely seen along a rugged coast where a mystery
is waiting to be revealed in a haunted sea of wrecks.
This isn’t your Dad’s dive series. Wrecks are creepy, spooky, haunted places. This is the first series to admit that part of diving. Tony and the team are taking chances, diving in dangerous places, they will try anything to get to the bottom of a story. The sea is filled with death and danger but it's the demons lurking in the minds of divers that creates the real danger - imaginings of terrible scenes, what could go wrong, and what lies beneath waiting and whispering.
The team taps into their ocean community to find whatever help they need to get a new way to look at each story.

THE CHARACTERS
Over 15 years of wreck diving this coast, Tony has gathered around him a group of divers who as a collective have all the knowledge, resources, skills, and gear to take on any challenge. There’s a real sense of place and community here that they know well from a lifetime of work on the sea. They’re myth-busting the mysteries that echo around these shores from Oak Island to the Titanic’s dark sea deeps. Tony also has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. He’s been responsible for dozens of discoveries, close calls, and lifesaving miracles along these shores.
John Wesley (Jw) has been speaking for the sea most of his adult life. Few are louder and more interested advocates for the ocean. From Key West to the Arctic, he’s found himself at the centre of ocean storms, and scientific controversy.
Researcher Kayla Flynn is a professional stunt woman for TV and film specializing in water related stunts. She's always pushing her limits and bringing what she learns from adventures back to her film work. But Kayla's great skill is in getting access to information about wrecks and intel about diving challenges.
They’re like underwater detectives by day who get caught up in helping solve mysteries because they are
compelled to do it.
